Craig Cryer
Director of Therapy Services
Foundation Surgical Hospital
Craig Cryer is responsible for direct patient care at our Foundation Medical Tower location. In addition he provides oversight for all satellite clinics. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from McNeese State University in 1982. He was a high school teacher and coach in Sulphur, Louisiana for 4 years. In 1986, he started to work for John West as a physical therapy technician where he found his calling. He returned to school and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy from UTMB – Galveston in 1989 and has since continued working with John West Therapy Services.
With over 20 years of experience as a physical therapist, Craig specializes in Orthopedic and Total Joint Rehabilitation.
Royce Bowman
River Oaks, Friendswood
Royce Bowman is a licensed physical therapist at John West Therapy Services. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Ball State University. In 1997, he received a Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. In addition, he holds a Masters of Arts degree in Human Performance from University of Houston-Clear Lake.
Royce Bowman has resided in Houston, Texas for over 25 years. In 1992, he started practicing with Mr. John West, the founder and owner of John West Therapy Services. With the clinical and entrepreneurial guidance that he received from Mr. West, he has started eight new physical therapy clinics within Houston and its surrounding areas. He has served as director of multiple clinics within the John West Therapy Services group.
Between 1998 and 2002, Royce Bowman served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston’s Human Performance program at the Clear Lake campus. Teaching courses in advanced kinesiology, anatomy, and sports medicine, he is an experienced educator and has presented seminars to other health professionals in the areas of biomechanics, with a focus in sports injuries. Along with a general practice of physical therapy, he has a special interest in outpatient orthopedics, particularly in shoulder and knee rehabilitation.
Sean Berman
Cy-Fair, Memorial Hermann
Sean Berman joined John West Therapy Services in May 2005. Originally from Napa, California, Sean made numerous stops before moving to Texas in 1989. He graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Biology from University of Texas- Austin in 1998. 3 years later, he also graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy from UTMB in Galveston. Sean has been a certified McKenzie Practitioner for the evaluation and treatment of the back and neck since March 2004. He also received certification in the Stretch- to-Win method; he incorporates this dynamic stretching method in his treatment plans for various conditions. In addition, he specializes in treatment of post operative ACL, meniscus, rotator cuff, labrum, chronic headaches and other sports injuries.
Sean oversees our clinics in Cy-Fair and at Memorial Hermann.
Terri L. West
JW Wellness Center
Terri West’s received her tertiary education from Pepperdine University. Thereafter she pursued her degree in Physical Therapy at Hogeschool, Enschede, The Netherlands in 2000. She has worked in a variety of settings including giving inpatient and outpatient treatment. She also visits patients for home health therapy. Terri’s experience includes return to work programs, job site analysis and functional capacity evaluations.
Terri West has received certifications in the following areas.
- Certified Hanoun Functional Capacity Evaluator
- Certified in E.P.I.C. Lift Test through Matheson
- Certified Aquatic Therapist from Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute
Currently, Terri primarily treats patients with balance & gait related disorders as well as orthopedic conditions. Recently, she has started treating patients in the Chronic Pain Program. This is John West Therapy Services’ latest treatment program that helps patients manage long term chronic pain.
With 10 years of experience, Terri West oversees the John West Wellness Center located next to our River Oaks clinic.
Kristi Kaiser
OakBend Medical Center-Richmond
Kristi Kaiser is the physical therapy director at OakBend Rehabilitation Services-Richmond. Kristi received her Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation in 2000 and her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002 from (Southwest) Texas State University. She has worked in a variety of settings including the Warm Springs Rehabilitation System and several private outpatient facilities. Kristi began working for John West Therapy Services in the spring of 2005 and has enjoyed helping the company grow and expand. Kristi has vast experience as a therapist working with both orthopedic and neurological issues.

Jennifer Ford
OakBend Medical Center-New Territory
Jennifer Ford is the physical therapy director at OakBend Rehabilitation Services-New Territory. Jennifer received her Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science in 1996 from Texas A&M University and her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2000 from University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Jennifer has over 11 years of experience in Physical Therapy and specializes in outpatient orthopedics.
